How this tool works

Required exam score = (target − current × (1 − exam weight / 100)) ÷ (exam weight / 100). Current grade covers all non-final work.

A quick example

A current 80%, target 85%, and final worth 50% require 90% on the final.

What to keep in mind

Scores above 100% indicate the target cannot be reached under the inputs. This assumes no extra credit or special institution rules.
